Kindergarten-Grade 8

During this exciting hands-on presentation, students will meet 7-8 of our awesome critters and will learn interesting (age appropriate) facts about each one. Meeting these animals will hopefully spark a life long appreciation and respect for all animals.

Grade 1 : Needs and Characteristics of Living Things

As students interact with a selection of our amazing animals we will compare their different physical characteristics. As we explore each critter's basic needs we will learn what is necessary to help maintain a healthy environment.

Grade 2 : Growth and Changes in Animals

Meeting animals from 5 of the main classes (mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians and invertebrates) students will learn about the different life cycles of each animal and see first hand some of the fascinating adaptations these animas use to help them thrive in the wild.

Grade 3 : Plants

Plants are an essential part of the survival of all living things. Help your students lean about the connections between animals and the plants found in their natural habitat.

Grade 4 : Habitats and Communities

As your class meets our exotic critters, they will learn some of the amazing ways these animals have adapted in order to thrive in their own, unique habitat. Students will have the opportunity to meet and greet a selection of carnivores, herbivores, omnivores and insectivores and will discuss their role in the food chain.

Grade 6 : Biodiversity

With our diverse selection of vertebrates and invertebrates we will investigate the different characteristics of each one and learn about it's interrelationship with other living things in it's natural community.

Grade 7 : Interactions in the Environment

Every living thing has a vital role to play in it's ecosystem. Students will gain a better understanding of how each species is equally important and connected together from the massive python all the way to the tiny meal worm.
